Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Last updated: May 2026
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when you create and use a Sasu account: your phone number; optional email address and family name; each child profile's name, date of birth, and optional profile photo; learning and check-in activity; memory chest entries (including optional photos or videos you upload); invite codes and community membership; a push notification token if you enable notifications; and usage or crash diagnostics to keep the app reliable. Some preferences (such as a parent PIN) may stay on your device only.
How We Use Your Information
We use this information to operate and improve Sasu, personalize your child's experience, deliver optional community features you choose to use, send notifications you allow, and keep accounts secure.
Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. If you join a Sasu community using an invite, other families in that community may see a limited display label (such as your family name), celebration messages you trigger (for example streak or memory milestones), and high-fives—not your full profile, child photos, or memory chest content. We also use service providers that help us run the app (such as hosting, authentication, storage, analytics, and push delivery) under strict confidentiality obligations. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect users.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption, secure servers, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
Sasu is designed for children ages 2–8. Parents provide and control child profile information. Children do not have public profiles. Community features, when used, show only limited labels and messages to families you connect with through an invite—not open social networking. We comply with COPPA and do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental consent.
Your Rights
You may access, correct, or delete your information. In the app, edit email and family name under Account, and delete your account under Parents → Delete Account. For help, email privacy@sasuedu.com. More detail: https://www.sasuedu.com/en/delete-account (Spanish: https://www.sasuedu.com/es/delete-account). If you are in the EU, you may have additional rights under GDPR.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the 'last updated' date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
